I’m so very excited about the Bible Activity books I’m sharing with you today. Ryan and I love having a variety of engaging ways to share the Bible with our kids. Our kids love doing a variety of activities and when I saw these books available, I decided they were a perfect addition to sharing The Word with them. We use them throughout the day and I use them when they join me on the mornings while I’m still having my morning quiet time with my own Bible. I hope you all enjoy these options, as well!

Our thoughts on the Bible Story Coloring and Activity Book
Bible story activities are something that our family really enjoys doing together. It opens up an additional way to learn and retain the information of the bible by adding in a hands-on approach to learning. This book has 384 pages of activities that create a variety for a variety of ages. This allows multiple children in the home to utilize the book based on their own learning level or activity preference OR utilize the book in additional ways as they grow up.
That said, there is a lot going on in this activity book and really displays a lot of characters of the Bible that are less commonly known than the streamline people that are commonly discussed in these types of activities. Most children, or even adults, will struggle with knowing several of the names mentioned (Samson, Naaman, minor prophets such as Naham, Amos – to name a few) in the activity book that they are supposed to correlate stories to or identify in some of the activities. This are all excellent avenues to teach the depth of the Bible and all of it’s characters.
My biggest complaint among the entire activity book is there is no key for answers. Having such a variety of content in the book, I feel like this would be a value. We’ve encountered a couple things in the book that we felt could be one answer or another but would have loved to know the intended answer. However, I wouldn’t say the book is lacking much outside of that and it’s completely a personal preference.
The coloring pages and several activities along the way do have correlating Bible verses to explore and learn more about what is going on that picture. I love the ability to pair the activities with the Bible right there on the pages. This feature allows parents to engage at an additional level with their children adding value and depth to the activities for the younger children. It also adds a level of study independence for the older children that are learning to explore their Bibles and look things up. I feel like this would be a good fit for ages 4-12years old.
