We spent Sunday hiking in Boulder, CO and we loved it. We hit a little trail called Bald Mountain Scenic Trail and we had a great time!  A started asking for a hike on Saturday but we got a late start so we did our busy work that day and spent the day on Sunday hiking and enjoying nature. The hike was laid back and the sites were nice. It was a bit overcast but if it hadn’t been I think the views would have been pretty amazing. They weren’t too shabby though. There were two routes to get to the top and we took the loop since we had little ones with us and A was hiking herself and not being carried. She did a great job. We listed for noises, checked out flowers and cacti. We looked for wild animals that the signs posted about but we didn’t see any.  We did see some beetles and insects though.

We had such a good time on our hike. He was a little cloudy and cool for part of it and the other part was sunny and warm. We couldn’t really have asked for better weather. We love going to the mountains during the Spring and Summer months because it’s just so gorgeous and it’s usually also cooler up there than on the plains which makes it a total win being able to enjoy the quiet of nature and not be stressed about dying in the heat. We also love getting out little ones out into nature so they know how important it is and we get to teach them ways to love the world around us.

This summer we really plan to get up there as much as possible for hiking and for camping since we don’t know what location we’ll be in next year so we have to take advantage of this seriously gorgeous state as much as we possibly can! We are constantly enamored by the beauty and views of this state. We are so lucky that we get to live here!
