It goes without saying, I love being A’s mom. I love it more than I can fit into the words on a blog post really. Even through the roughest of days I’m still so grateful she is mine. I’ve always relished in my moments I have with her, but even more so now that I know our one on one time is dwindling slowly as the new baby gets closer and closer to arriving. Im cherishing every phase, ever moment with her even more than before which I didn’t even know was possible. A few months ago A started to love matching with me. She wants to match socks, PJ pants, nails, necklaces, etc. I get a kick out of it because can’t get my sweet girl to leave hair ties or bows in her hair for longer than a short timeframe but when it comes to matching mama or doing fun things like our nails – she’s is over the moon.. It’s seriously darling and I hope it’s not just a phase.
If I wear my Krafty Kash necklace, she has to wear hers. Which by the way, I purchased because she was constantly begging to have my necklace if I wore it . Getting it was a brilliant idea and she wears it every chance she gets – especially if we leave the house. She loves matching so much that before I simply wore just my “blessed” necklace and she wore her A, that I ordered myself an A to add to my blessed necklace or just wear alone. She loves that the two necklaces have the same A. Adorable.
Probably six months ago or so I decided to try out doing her nails. She really loved it and we kept it to her toes – mostly because the last thing I wanted was nail polish toxins being ingested on accident. Lucky for me, soon I found Lillian Eve – formerly known as Poppy – nail polish. It’s 5-Free and Vegan. I finally jumped at trying it when she ran an awesome 50% off sale on Instagram and we haven’t looked back since. Sure, we’ve used other polishes from time to time – mainly on her toes – but Lillian Eve is our go-to. It coats well and it dries in a good timeframe. Plus, I feel so much better about putting it on A’s nails.
So, we were already hooked on matching nails but then my friend Katy started selling Jamberry Nails – and I figured, “why not?” I really had doubted how much I would like them, as well as, how durable they were. For my nails personally, I have a hard time getting them to stay for a long length of time – however, I have the same problems with acrylics so I can’t take that for more than it is – my nails aren’t happy when I put things on them. My personal nail issues aside I tried them on A’s nails. They literally stay for 2 weeks. Yes, my busy toddler who constantly is playing in water and getting messy has them stay for 2 weeks. Craziness. No dry time just cleaning the nail, heating the nail sticker, sticking it on and clipping it. It’s that darn easy.
So, since we usually have to match she picks out which Jamberry Nails stickers she wants and I put mine on my ring finger or pinky nail since they get the least amount of abuse in my daily activities, and she picks her finger, then she picks out what polish we will wear. Just last week she picked out our polish, the color, the sparkles and the top coat for her toes. It’s seriously the cutest thing ever. Well, that and when Ryan comes home and she just has to show him our nails.
Today, I want to share the love of our favorite things – Initial Krafty Kash Necklaces, Lillian Eve Polish and Jamberry Nails – with another mother and daughter duo, so you can love time as much as we do. I cannot tell you how much I love our bonding and seeing A get so excited about little things like our matching necklaces and nails. It’s moments like these that I want to bottle up forever and never let them go, and a part of me hopes she will find it cute when she’s grown to match her mama.
That said – today I’m giving away;
