I had a different post planned for today, but honestly, I pushed it back.
I’m saving it for another day because today this is what captures what’s on my heart, on an immediate level.
Lets talk about Integrity, and business.
Seriously people.
I’ve seen this crap all too much lately, recently with my own shop & I have seen it recently with other shops too.
If you want to open a shop, fantastic! Do it.
But do it correctly.
Don’t go scavenging the blog world, instagram world, etsy world or storenvy world – see what’s having success then copying the idea.
No one benefits from a copied idea. No one.
Have a successful shop because of an original idea, you’ll feel better about yourself at the end of the day.
I promise.
This diagram sums it up.
Like you all know as a follower of this blog with the A-List and Small Business Saturday Link-Up – I’m all for small business, but I’m only all for the companies with integrity – and if you are copying people’s ideas – you don’t have integrity.
So many shop owners make an income from their shop, rely on it to pay bills, or pick up the extra to make ends me – and when you go and take ideas you are messing with people’s livelihood.
What so many people don’t understand is having a successful shop takes a lot of hard work, it’s not an easy business. So good luck if you are someone that steals ideas – Karma really sucks, and frankly, it’s not something that I would want on my conscious.
Love love love this blog post! 🙂 Thank you for sharing it with me. 🙂
Right on sister! If you don’t have originality then you are just like everyone else and stealing someone else’s spotlight doesn’t make yours brighter!
