Stepping away from the edge of comfort.

Alright friends, I paint. I may have mentioned it before and accompanying that statement I probably mentioned that I would never be posting any of my work. Well, today I’m stepping out of my comfort zone and doing something I absolutely never do, and am sharing some of my work with you. It’s something that I just might do here and there, with various pieces I am working on or have worked on. I’m creating a 3-piece painting of space/rockets/etc. for Jamie’s nursery – so since my stuff will be hanging in someone’s actual house, and I don’t even hang my work in my own house, I’m working on getting a little less shy, about it. I’m a huge self critic. So, here are a couple of pieces.

I did this 3 piece set in mid-January. All acrylic.

This piece was done in about ’05-’06. Charcoal.

So, here are a few pieces! I have plenty more but I’m starting with these, they were on my computer. I’ll maybe start showing more little by little.

Oh, and if you have a minute go venture check out a new blog, go visit Life As We Know It. She is a very dear friend of mine, and today’s post is quite interesting – oh the things people buy for their babies! Geez!

The pieces are very nicely done Kristina ๐Ÿ™‚

My husband’s Grandmother, Mother, and Sister are very talented oil painters and those are the only pieces of art we have hanging on our walls.

You should hang your art on your walls! Bet you’d get a LOT of compliments …

What a cool project- I like painting things to decorate my home so that I can make the colors coordinate and have them just how I like them ๐Ÿ™‚

I loved the second picture (set of 3). That’s quite a talent you have there, and I am so pleased that you decided to share them with us. I loved the charcoal one. I love the way you have caught the shadows there.
