The snow is finally here! I have been waiting for this beautiful white stuff for a while now and I’m thrilled it’s here and so glad it came after the move! We haven’t had much snow, really anything, but a dusting this year of snow. I love the snow, and would much rather be cold than hot – (the way I look at it is you can always add more clothes, and you can only take off so much!), and have been waiting for this snow to be here! It’s been quite chilly lately and the only excuse for that is for there to be snow on the ground! Our Bichon, Wyatt, LOVES the snow, he hates the rain but LOVES the snow. He darts around the yard like a racecar, running and gleefully barking and he will stay out there forever! I discovered last winter he also loves playing ball out in the snow. Then our curly haired Wyatt comes in with balls of snow hanging from him hair. We have about 5-6 inches or more now, and are supposed to get 8 more inches within the day and evening. I must admit, I’m not complaining!
We are moved into the house, as of yesterday, but far from unpacked and organized. I can honestly say, I forgot how much I loathe moving…I completely and utterly loathe it. We began our move on Friday evening, loaded the trailers drove the half hour to our house, only to realize our keys were in our other car a half hour away, so we broke into our own home (I probably shouldn’t speak of this much, please note: its not really our thing to break into things normally!!) Then only to finish about 2 in the morning, by finished I mean unload everything into the garage- only to get to bed about 3 or 3:30 in the morning. By this point it was on of those, “do I just stay up or go to sleep risking not getting up in 3 hours for work?” So I decided 3 hours would be better than no hours and pulling a complete all-niter. So off to slumberland I went and before I knew it, my alarm is going off and its time to rise again. Lovely. So, I get off go to work, only to get off later than expected. Dash across town to meet the hubby to help some friends, dash back to our new house to just make some progress. Little progress we made but it was progress nonetheless – (hey we atleast go the master bedroom liveable! The bed put together, clothes hung in the closet!) Then went to bed a midnight, got up mid-morning then my entire goal for the day was to get all of the stuff from to garage to the house and get some unpacking done. That goal was acheived thank goodness, but we are far from finished.
So, as I sit here on our bed, borrowing wireless internet from some lovely, generous (and a bit naive not to have put a security code on their internet-not that I am complaining) neighbor I’m accompanied by Wyatt and Rudy curled up enjoying this lovely, beautiful, snowy, wintery Monday morning, where I am secretly hoping my boss decides that my vary bare schedule isn’t worth coming in for, so I can stay here and clean and organize my house…plus take some breaks to read some lovely blogs…but I am not holding my breath! So, for now I must drag myself to the shower, to get ready for this lovely day! Only to come back tonight, to grocery shop and do more organizing! Oh the beauty of moving!
