For the love of…Almond Milk!

Milk. Bleh. I can’t drink it, as I am lactose intolerant, and to be honest I’m not fond of the taste any more either. Yogurt and Ice Cream on the other hand, that is a different story. I used to crave yogurt, and eat it – only to pay for it later. Ice cream I would have an occasional bowl, also to pay for it later. So, both I just live without. Large amounts of cheese is a real pain for me too, but cheese and sour cream are most of the time not as bad as the others. Anyways, I found this amazing thing a couple of months ago, Almond Milk. When I found this I found love. I particularly love Blue Diamond’s Almond Breeze, Vanilla flavor. A good friend of mine, James, whom I met during massage school who is also lactose intolerant introduced me to Almond Milk. It’s fabulous, lovely, genius!
Now, for those of you who are thinking, “oh you poor thing!”, really I’m fine! Although, God has a very funny sense of humor. I am married to what I call a Dairy Addict. Ryan can seriously eat cheese by the block, loves milk, and loves ice cream. It’s insane! What are the odds? I mean, really?! For the first, what seemed like forever he would always ask me if I wanted a bowl of ice cream or this and that, only to receive this look of, “umm…are you kidding me? How many times must we go over this?!” from me. Haha, the good news is – our children have at least a half a chance of not being lactose intolerant like their mother.

I hope this comment doesn’t offend you because it’s not meant to but your font is so tiny even with my reading glasses I can barely see it. I’m old you have to remember haha. When I first started blogging one of my first followers was and is a talented writer and she made that suggestion for me so I took her advice. I love what you say but it’s hard to read especially in the evenings which is when I read most. Hugs!!

Hi. I’m glad that Bouncin’Barb mentioned the size of the font, because I am really struggling with it as well! Hope you didn’t mind me mentioning it. I can’t drink milk either, so wonder if that Almond Milk will work for me? Have a good weekend.

I LOVE love love LOVE Almond Milk! I also love Rice Milk! It’s a bit thinner- it would compare to maybe dairy skim milk in consistency. I’ve only used Soy Milk for years- but since I get a lot of soy in my diet- via “meats” I wanted to cut the liquid soy out since it isn’t the best for you- & yes, these “milks” are WAY better than regular. I think I may be lactose-long story- but I have some opinions about certain dairy. haha 🙂 LOVE this. I am going to go pour me a glass now!
