Look at the animal kingdom, although they are lower than humans on the chain of intelligence technically – in the love department, some of them I believe they have us beat. Seriously. Penguins, they are life long mates. When a male penguin finds that lady of his choice, the one he plans to spend the rest of his life with he searches for a pebble to his liking and presents it to her. If she accepts it, they are life long mates. Life long. Sea horses dance together every morning with one another.
He began to tell me about this girlfriend, or ex girlfriend, I should say and there was some good, but so many flaw – so many things that I just wanted to say – “seriously? I don’t know you by my golly, but I know you deserve better than this lady!” but due to the need of being tactful, I didn’t say anything to that extent and he figured this all out later. He even said to me how talking about her qualities out loud made him think ” What was I thinking. She isn’t worth the heart break!”
My heart kind of broke this client of mine – you could hear the sound of defeat and that longing desire to have someone that he loved. He found clarity in the situation and he found some self healing in our session, but this client session stuck with me and showed me how lucky I am, giving me this big ‘hey, you are one lucky girl’. You see, I know this already if I didn’t my head wouldn’t be on straight. I come home every night, to my husband who I know without question will love me unconditionally, be there every day when I get home as long as we both are living, and this is something that can’t be taken for granted because not everyone is this lucky. Not everyone has that someone.
