Someday we will…have little ones running about, little feet stampering around the house, and laughter filling the air of the curious, and excited little ones thrilled about Christmas to a point that they can’t contain their excitement. The typical questions of: “Is Santa Coming?” “Did you get me ______?” “Can I open just one present?” “How long until grandma and grandpa get here?” “What is this present mommy?” or “Do I really have to wait until Christmas?”, will resound in the air with the lull of being unbelievable repeatitive due to the simplicity of not being able to contain their excitement. I remember, what it was like as a kid, not being able to stay in bed past 6 a.m. so I could race into the living room to see the unwrapped toys and gifts just waiting for me and my brother on Christmas morning, and how hard it was to be patient enough to wait until it was time to open presents!! I will admit, I do enjoy the holidays now, but nothing compares to when I was a kid. I think the closest thing to it is, Christmas mornings when we have little ones running about, ecstatic for Christmas!
I agree, maybe we will have much more fun:) We will have fun starting the new tradition which I have never had either, just something I always wanted to start and so glad that you came back into my life to be the ones we start this tradition with:) Love you guys and maybe next year will be better for both of us! I won’t put my lights or music up so early:)!!! lol
The holidays definitely have a little extra magic with kids around. Merry Christmas!
Christmas tastes different during childhood, but creating new traditions and seeing your own children run around is priceless, “I am assuming.” I can’t wait to experience it!!
i love this! christmas is one of the only times of the year that is truly filled with magic, and makes me long for a little piece of my childhood. i, too, can’t wait to experience it through the eyes of my future children. can you just imagine the glorious fun? thanks for sharing from your heart:)
