Pumpkin Time

Every Year, Ryan and I go to the pumpkin patch and pick out a pumpkin to carve, and make our house all festive.  In Denver, we would always decorated our porch with spider webs and spiders, and halloween signs, only to take them down when the kids were done trick-or-treating.  A lot of work to put it up, but it was easy to take it all down again, but it was worth it because the kids were always so drawn to our festively decorated house.
This year, its different.  We live far out of town, and we don’t have a house of our own to decorate, this year will probably be a quiet one, but something inside of me is OK with that. We are never ones to go to Halloween parties are dressed up, although we were invited to one this year.  Last year, we handed out candy, ate wings and watched something on TV.  Pretty low key, but we seem to like things that way.
But this year, although we don’t have a home of our own, we still decided to do something normal like we usually do.  Last year Ryan used power tools on his pumpkin, needless to say it was a site, but we had fun.  So, we couldn’t pass it up this year to go to the pumpkin patch, and pick out our pumpkins!  🙂
Happy Monday!
P.S.  Is it just more or is it insane that November comes in just ONE WEEK!?!

The fact that November is almost here is totally insane! I cannot believe the year is almost done. I’m excited for the holidays, though. We get to spend Christmas in KS this year! 🙂
