Yesterday I suffered a tragedy. it was traumatic to say the least. You see, I decided to go fishing at the pond, as innoncent as it sounds, it turned tragic. I usually have my iPhone in my back pocket, but I decided that I should removed it so I didn’t damage/crack the screen while sitting on the rock (my iPhone sandwiched between my butt and the rock didn’t sound like a good idea). So, for the first time ever while fishing, I had my iPhone sitting on my lap. Since this placement of my phone is so rare I totally forgot about it, sprung up and heard…”blooop”. I thought it was my camera lense cap until I saw my shiny apple logo float deeper into the mucky pond water. All I could say was, “oh no. oh no. oh no.”
After 10 minutes of full submersion the iPhone was recovered from the pond via rake. The event was tragic. I really thought that maybe there was hope since the screen was still on, however, that was only for moments. My screen then decided to freak out until its death.
I bought a screen cover protector, I even bought a phone case to keep my phone from tragedy. However, there is nothing to protect the phone where it really matters the most…water. Can we please work on waterproofing the iPhone?
