Freedom. It’s worth fighting for.

“Perhaps you and I have lived with this miracle too long to be properly appreciative. Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again.” – Ronald Reagan, Inaugural Address. Jan 5, 1967

Are you watching the political landscape right now? Freedoms being taken “for the greater good” of everyone? One side of it all consistently demanding anything they don’t agree with be stripped away as an option? Industries being able to put whatever they want in our consumables without being held accountable or transparent?

I’m watching completely awestruck at how some are so quickly begging the government and large corporations to take away their freedoms.

What happens when our freedoms are gone then you quickly realize it wasn’t “for the greater good”? Why this nonsensical “I don’t agree with your opinion, let’s ban it” rather than “I don’t agree, so I choose not to participate”?!

We must rediscover how to tolerate the difference of opinions versus participate in the vile “cancel culture” going on right now.

Freedom is why there’s so much good in this country but that’s going to change very quickly if we don’t keep insisting it’s ours to keep. We can’t let history repeat itself, we’re much too smart for that. If you blindly trust the government, I recommend you pick up a history book and read it. We must learn to tolerate different views and opinions, stopping the “cancel culture” nonsense.

So here this mama bear will be, fighting for the freedoms that are one generation away from extinction for her four bear cubs. And if you’re not seeing this yet yourself, I’ll continue to be here fighting for you too, until you do.
