We’ve been keeping a secret!!!
Baby #4 will be making his appearance in around seven weeks from now!! Ryan is over the moon for a little Texas native joining our crew.
We announced the news this weekend on Instagram and got so many sweet messages of congratulations on our baby announcement. While it’s been different than any of our other pregnancies where we announced it early, there’s been something so sweet and special about just a handful of people knowing. Part of the delay was we waited to find a midwife, then COVID happened where it made it harder to find a midwife that has the same beliefs we did and we felt was a good fit for our particular pregnancy needs. Part was that we found out around the same time a few of my friends who have been trying to conceive were hoping for their own news; so I wrestled a bit with why we were so blessed with a fourth when I have friends pleading for just one and I remember how hard that feels. As time went on, it became a fun little and special secret for the last 33 weeks.
This pregnancy has been different in lots of ways and so will his birth (he’ll be born at home 🙌🏻). I’m trying hard to savor the time left before he comes because truth be told, as fast as it’s going, I feel like I’ve taken it a bit for granted. So, I’ll be working on doing that a bit more the next few weeks before he comes.
All that said, thanks so much for the love. Here’s some photos of our pregnancy leading up to now (99% courtesy of Ryan because I’ve taken very, very few) – starting with the first time we told the kids at 15 weeks. The kids are OVER.THE.MOON about this new little brother!
