Save the Children.

Today is World Day Against Trafficking.

Since I learned the depth of this heartbreaking reality months ago and that the US is the capital of human trafficking, it’s weighed heavily on my heart. Part of it is being a compassionate human, the other part is being a parent not being able to fathom a child going through what countless children do every single day.

Today, as I shared a lot of awareness in my stories, I could not help but constantly think of the children that would give anything for someone to love them, to hold them, to save them….as I went through the day with mine.

❌There are more slaves in the world today than ever before in history – there’s roughly 40 million enslaved worldwide.
❌Human trafficking is a BILLION dollar industry.
❌There are 6 million children (as young as 6 month old 😭) held as sex slaves today.
❌The UNITED STATES is the capital of human trafficking.
❌A child is sold every 30 seconds. EVERY 30 seconds children (infants —> teens) are SOLD for sex, for organ harvesting, for marriage, for prostitution, for labor.
❌A trafficked child is exploited on average 5.4 times per DAY.

👉🏽These children are stolen from the system, handed over by their parents for money, stolen from their parents that love them and are still searching for them today, others are born into it.

The trafficking is real. It’s gutwrenching and heart-shattering. The things these children endure will bring you to your knees and make you want to vomit and want to scream. These children endure what NO ONE should ever have to endure.

Some actions you can take:

❌ USE YOUR VOICE as often as possible. On social media, to your local government officials.
❌ DONATE to the organizations above.
