I am note taker through and through. Give me all the pens, markers, highlighters, notebooks, and planners. If I don’t write it down, it’s probably never getting done. I’m just being honest….
We have an abundance of paper tools that we use in both parts of my life. I have Cultivate Powersheets , my Cultivate homeschool planner (you can print yours free here) and a notebook where I run my to do list and weekly schedule bullet journal style. That said, I use pens and paper pretty much all day every day. I’m trying to go digital this year with our main calendar instead of a paper planner – I’ll let you guys know how that ends up since I’ve had a planner for years.
In our homeschool, we have a variety of homeschool books, our new curriculum books that will be arriving any day, and then we also have our workbooks and morning time books like A’s Write the Word Kids. we also have a two whiteboard so that we can consolidate the amount of paper that we use. I also love our dry erase sleeves where I can print things and keep them in a three ring notebook but slide them into a dry erase sleeve so that we can use them again and again.
Now that you know a bit more about all the resources that we use and our need for quality supplies, let’s talk about what we use. Once again, I’m using my Take Note Products in both – our homeschool and our business.
Last year Crayola launched their Take Note line and this year its expanded even further. It’s now complete with felt tip pens, permanent markets, pastel erasable highlighters, as well as, chisel tip and fine tip expo markers. You guys, this line makes my old school note taking heart sing.
I’ve always been a Crayola fan and I’m over the moon for their Take Note line. They didn’t do this line halfway either. These products do not disappoint. I’ve been using the line since they arrived last month and I’m wildly impressed with the variety and the quality.
Let’s be honest for a second and all agree other brands just don’t compare to the vibrancy and efficiency when it comes to products. We all know this and we’ve also tried to buy another brand to end up disappointed.
Their expo markers don’t have a pungent smell and their tips and durable. My favorite feature is you can see the fill line on the expo products so you know when it’s about time to replace them. No more second guessing how much longer until your marker doesn’t work. They have the standard chisel tip which allows you for a wide or thinner pen strokes. They also have fine line. These write smooth and their fine line markers have a firm tip just like the chisel, so you don’t have to worry about kids pressing too hard.
Let’s talk about pens for a second. The felt tip pens don’t have a harsh bleed making them super versatile no matter the paper or planner you are using them on. They write beautifully and have a durable tip. The washable gel pens have a beautiful glide without skipping or having air bubbles. There is nothing more frustrating than a pen that skips and is inconsistent.
The permanent markers are virtually odorless which is a big change from my previous brand of permanent markers. They have a great tip on the end and I’m impressed with their ability on being genuinely permanent. As with all permanent markers, they do bleed through paper so using them on a hard surface or canvas is ideal versus planner or notebook paper.
I continue to be impressed with the highlighters. I used to steer clear of them because highlighters are pretty permanent. Not these though. The opposing side of the marker is a marker tip eraser and it genuinely works. We’ll be using highlighters this year in our schooling and I’m excited that these are available to use. They genuinely erase without any struggle.
I am also impressed with the brand new two in one highlighter. One end is a highlighter and the other one is a felt tip pen. This new product consolidates the need for how many items you carry with you. This also allows you to take notes and highlight important sections of what you’re working on while utilizing the same color scheme.
As you prepare for your own school year as a teacher or as a parent planning for the school year, I highly recommend taking a look at the Crayola Take Note line. Maybe you don’t have anyone going to school but you use these supplies for business – go grab Take Note supplies. You’re going to love them as much as I do, I promise.
Having tried them out, thanks to Crayola, I’m a loyalist for life. We’ll be a brand loyalist for this line without question. The usability and versatility of this product product line simplifies product needs and takes the stress of product shopping down. You and your students can rest easy knowing you have a quality product that’s adaptable to your needs.
