Chick-fil-A Cow Appreciation Day Printable Mask

It’s a rarity that we don’t cook dinner or lunch at home, but when we do go out we have a handful of places that we opt to go that is “fast food.” One of the few place we do go is Chick-fil-A.  Fun Fact: I’ve been on the national Mom Panel for Chick-fil-A that is backed by Chick-fil-A corporate for the past 2 years. We love Chick-fil-A ;). I will also add to this post that this is 1000% NOT sponsored by Chick-fil-A it’s just a fun printable for tomorrow’s Annual Cow Appreciation Day.

If you are new to Chick-fil-A, you might not know about it but every year if you dress up like a cow – in any manner whatsoever – you’ll get a free entree. Easy Peasy.  It’s a fun little tradition we’ve been doing for the last 4 years and find it to be a fun thing to do.  In years past, we’ve kept it pretty simple with black construction paper spots on white t-shirts. Last year though, I decided to make it a whole craft with the kids. I whipped up a template on some card stock and construction paper.

After sharing our masks with some friends, they wanted a set too! So, this year I posted a poll to Instagram to see what the actual demand is – turns out you guys all LOVE a good DIY and chicken. So here we are. It’s not a professional template, it’s something I put together this afternoon from our masks. Hopefully you will find some fun with them and enjoy some chicken too.  When creating the templates, I decided to make 2 sets.

Basic Printable Cow Face

The first one being a basic template you can print out once, trace time and time again onto construction paper and card stock.  Then, use the markers to personalize them!  That’s what we did with ours making for a fun activity for our day and then used our masks later on to cash in on some chicken. If you’ve got some construction paper, time, and the desire for a DIY craft – this one is going to be for you!

Supplies you need for the DIY Basic Template:

  • A Printer
  • Card Stock and/or Construction Paper
  • Markers for spots, extra details, etc.
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Popsicle stick (or you can alter this to put a string around the back to make a mask!)

Full Color Printable

The second one is a full color printable. It has the spots already, the snout already has the nostrils, and the pink color. All you have to do is cut them out, glue them, and go! If you’re on short time or just not into an in-depth DIY – this one is for you!  Whichever one you do choose, I hope you enjoy them!

Supplies you need for the Full Color Template:

  • A Printer
  • Card Stock
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Popsicle stick (or you can alter this to put a string around the back to make a mask!)

A Few Tips for Either Mask:

  1. Glue the ears and horns, behind the main face template.
  2. Boy cows use the horns typically – so we added a bow for the girls for some extra fun because the boys have horns. Honestly though, don’t stress the details. 😉
  3. When cutting the eyes, gently bend the paper to create small cut to get a space to get your scissor through to cut around (see below)
  4. Have fun!! Remember – the whole point is to have fun creating your masks!
