The Mug Cookie

What?! Two posts in one day?! What is wrong with me! Clearly, I’m feeling like an overachiever. Well friends, I found Shay’s Whatever Wednesday post (that she co-hosts weekly with Alissa) in my reader and thought “oh My, if I don’t participate one more time…” So then I saw the topic was a recipe and I haven’t posted one of those in a while…see my dilemma? Letting Shay down, letting you all down by not posting scrumptious things… This post was born.

So After scrambling to figure out a recipe I thought back to my Instagram feed from last week and had an “aha” moment. Insert the mug cookie.

Now, I have zero idea where I found this recipe because its permanently embedded into my brain because sometimes you just need a cookie and are either out of Papa Johns cookie dough (who am i kidding? those never make it into the oven to turn into cookies, the cookie dough is far too delicious)  or you really don’t have the desire to take out all ingredient, whip up the cookies, wait for the oven, wait for the cookie to bake, and of course you don’t even want to think about the clean up. So…these are my go-to.

Here are the directions…

Grab a mug …
Add 1 Tbs melted butter.
Add in 1Tbsp of brown sugar
 1Tbsp of white sugar.
Add a pinch of salt & a couple drops of vanilla.
Mix.
Add egg yolk.
Mix.
Add just under 1/4 c flour.
Mix.
Add chocolate chips…eye it (or put in somewhere from 2Tbs-4Tbs)
Zap in microwave for about 45 seconds
