I saw this weeks ago, and thought it was a good post, and have since seen it on many, many other posts – but if you knew me, you’d know I’ve been working on this post for weeks because frankly I’m terrible at them. So here it goes!
If you really knew me….
….you’d know how protective I am over those closest to me – especially Ryan and Baby A.
If you are disrespectful to Ryan, you are automatically disrespectful to me. Period.
I don’t take disrespect lightly.
And when it comes to Baby A – I’m a protective mama bear, deal with it. I don’t need to explain our decisions to you, & you even make a suggestion of something harsh – not standing for it.
…..you’d know I have a mild case of claustrophobia.
I can’t handle tight things around my neck or my ankles, and as we learned on our honeymoon, I don’t do well putting a full wetsuit back on after it’s been taken off, because the fact is even when you think you are total dry from the old suit and you go to put the new suit on you find you weren’t really as dry as you thought – but that’s a whole other story for another post if I haven’t shared it already.
….you’d know I fell in love with Pumpkin Spice Lattes are couple years ago, and then fell totally in love with pumpkin muffins and breads, etc. now I look forward to it every. single. year. and I limit myself to pumpkin in the fall (and winter) – same reason for the soup, except in my head pumpkin stuff is only for the fall.
…you’d know I work best under pressure, and I usually wait until the last minute for deadlines. I remember years ago when I was in school and I would be up until 2-3 in the morning work on a school project due the next day.
…you’d know that I can read people pretty well, and if I come across someone that is hard to read it makes me extremely nervous and I feel like they are hiding something, or not being genuine. Un-genuine people really annoy me.
…you’d know I’m the worst liar on the planet so I don’t even try, it’s a total waste of time, and I absolutely hate being lied to. Same with reliability, I stick to my word – so if I tell you I’m going to be there I will, and it drives me crazy when others don’t stick to theirs.
….you’d know that Ryan and I are the type of people that drive to other states for weddings, and gathering welcoming new babies because we are just those kinds of friends.
….you’d know that I am terrible about reading books. Absolutely terrible, it takes so much time for me to actually make time to sit down and read, once I start I actually enjoy it – but it’s a matter of getting started. My sister on the other hand adores reading, and most of the time finishes a new book in 2-7 days.
…you’d know I can’t shut my mind off, which is terrible for taking baths for longer than 30 minutes, and terrible for sleeping. My mind always races during those two situations making my bath super short because there are so many others I could be doing, and all of my ideas hit me at night when I should be sleeping. I wish my brain had an off switch.
….you’d know that if I could make a successful living baking for humans and my furbabies, I would totally do it, but in the mean time I bake for everyone around me, including my sweet pups – yes, they get homemade dog treats.
….you’d know that this post was extremely hard to figure out what to write and once I am done writing it and hit publish I’ll have another 10 things I could have added, and the other part of me will wonder if I shared too much. 😉
