I went to my semi-annual heart dr appointment for the first time in a little over 2 years. Yes, I know semi-annual means twice per year and not every 2 years. But thanks to a little thing I have called a pre-existing condition insurance makes you wait “X” amount of time before you can go to the doctor once you are covered.
Yep. It’s lovely.
Anyways, after going to the appointment with a false hope that I seem to have every time that maybe I’d be able to see the dr sooner if I was early, I got in 10 minutes after my appointment with the nurse, took the vital stuff, the EKG only to sit there and wait. For over an hour.
If you follow me on twitter you probably read the tweet that I have zero idea what I did while waiting at appointments before Words with Friends, Twitter, Pinterest & Instagram. Seriously. And I’m not one to take naps in places other than my house, so that wasnt an option although, it would have been a decent nap!
Once the doctor came in, we chatted a bit. He told me there was nothing he was currently concerned about and that he wanted to see me back in 6 months. Yep, all that waiting for my 10 minute convo.
The good news – all is well!! 🙂
