Colors that "Fit"

This was one of the gifts we got for our wedding.
It was gift we never expected – but it was made by my great aunt, Julia.
We received it and it was not only a surprise but absolutely beautiful.

The next words out of her mouth were,
“I wasn’t sure what colors would fit you two and your style. But hopefully it will work somewhere in your house.”

But the funny thing was – I didn’t either until I saw that quilt.
That was exactly it.
Those colors fit us absolutely perfectly.
Until that moment neither one of us knew what “our colors” were or
what “fit us” but we both agreed, the colors of that quilt capture it, absolutely perfectly.

Hence, the blog design colors.

Do you have colors that “fit” you and/or your home?

That’s a terrific story and I also love the color combination. A hand made item is the most meaningful type of gift that you can give or receive.

How lovely to receive that handmade quilt from your great aunt. She has blended those colours together so well.
