If I was to sit here and tell you that I wasn’t so glad it’s Friday I would be lying.
it all Started Saturday.
Saturday the 14th…the Day AFTER Friday the 13th…
…you know. the day that all the bad crap is supposed to happen…
Well, enough with Friday the 13th, Saturday the 14th is when the bad crap happens.
It all started Saturday morning.
I woke up and decided to make Chex Mix, and well..
I got this…
Yep this crappy little burn that looks terrible now.
Then that evening we went and spent the evening Cheering on the Broncos…with these two awesome people…
Mike and Nicole, our two closest friends here in CO, and their family. They have pretty much adopted us into their ginormous family. We’re loved. That’s is all.
So, we are rooting on the Broncos.
Which ended up with me in this Broncos Jersey which is Nicoles and was supposed to be a XXL – not a chance. Maybe a medium. It was big for me, but jerseys are always supposed to be bigger but this wasn’t a XXL:
And the Broncos Sadly lost… but not due to us not Tebowing at least once in the game to keep the faith.
I think I may have been backwards..whoops..
So, if a burn wasn’t enough. And the Broncos loosing.
This bad boy happened.
Not even kidding.
Never been bitten in my life until Saturday.
Call that bad luck.
The dog is a sweet girl. A bit skiddish and doesn’t like men, or horseplay.
But has a bit of a biting issue.
Did I mention she bit Ryan on New Years and he wasn’t even around her? She seeked him out.
Anyways…so I’m in the garage talking to Ed, Mike’s dad, along with Ryan.
Erin was horsing around in the garage, and the dogs were out there.
All of the sudden, I saw the owner of the dog grab her, yell, and without even knowing what was going on – because it happened so fast – my attention was caught.
Then my shin started throbbing.
Did I just serious get bit?
I turned around to Ryan with big eyes, and the first thing he said was..
“What? Did you get kicked in the shin…?”
And I was like no, I didn’t but I think Ophelia bit me.
I pulled up my pant leg to find the two bite marks accompanied by a knot the size of a half a kiwi.
We think she was going after Erin and since I was standing in one place I was the target.
As an animal lover, I didn’t hold a grudge, and me & Ophelia made up.
The good news – is she always stays away from kids! 😉
The Pro: I got to hang out with that handsome hubby of mine, our new adopted family (did I mention there are like 40 of them!?!) and these two lovely Weishes.
Just my kind of week that I was ready to be over.
Here’s to Friday, the last day of any bad luck.
And Apparently Saturdays are the new start of a new week for me.
