(Yes – I should be saying right now that I’m super excited we found a place, but honestly – I’m having to talk myself into liking it. but it’s a house. so it will do.it’s not about the house, it’s about the people you share it with, right?)
So – that’s good I suppose, gives me another week here which is nice for me. Part of me wants the time left to go by super slow but another part of me just wants to wake up in the morning and it be the day we move and get it over with.
This week has been the week of things NOT going according to the plans in our heads.
Heard the expression “Tell God your plans and He laughs”??
We have been living it. Hating it.
And I suppose we are just suppose to learn patience and to trust with it. Grr – don’t things just suck when they don’t go with the plan in your head?
Good news is, tomorrow is my last day at the dreadful local job. yay. I could write an entire blog about the hellacious place – but I won’t.
Yesterday I spent a lovely 2 hours eating lunch with Jamie and little Cooper. We had a great time, sometimes it’s just so nice to have some girl time. Since we are moving a week later, we will get to have more time together which is a relief!
Last weekend we had a garage sale.
We got rid of all of our furniture.
Bedroom Set. Couch. Chairs. Dressers.
Everything but our mattress, shelves, dining table and entertainment center.
Although – the dining table and entertainment center will be finding themselves elsewhere (aka my brother, Tyler’s, house) once they move.
And we will get others.
Honestly, I was totally fine living out of a box for 2 weeks, but now it’s 3 weeks,
and honestly it’s might just be a bit annoying.
Although, I’ll be thankful when we don’t have furniture to haul.
That will be nice.
However, if we don’t get a new bedroom set, and living room stuff soon after we get there….
….I might be a little annoyed.
So, keep your fingers crossed for me.
My theory is this….
HAve lots of stuff = big truck = expensive.
garage sale = no big stuff = $
Small moving truck = Cheaper.
Cheaper + garage sale $ = money for new stuff.
So keep positive thoughts that this theory of mine works out as planned.
So, I suppose … soon I should start packing and letting go of the bitter of this move, and embracing the sweet of it. Yes… that’s what I must start doing.
