SO, If we were really have coffee together, I would explain that I have just plain needed a break from blogging. To be completely honest I haven’t had the energy to do so. I read blogs from my phone which is lovely, but can’t comment most days from that, so I end up missing out on commenting but there hasn’t been the desire to lug the laptop out and write up a post. Although, a few have been posted via my lovely phone.
Anywhoo…since I enjoy blogging, I am making it a goal to get back into my swing of things and get thing going again, finding time to do it, making the time and energy to do so. 🙂 Even it’s a little something, and I hope to get caught up on commenting soon.
This last weekend was my best friend, Jamie’s, baby shower. This girl was the matron of honor in my wedding and has been my best friend since the day we met at a church conference and we have had our ups and downs but she is the one person that I always pick up the phone and call when I need someone. The baby shower was great, and I spent some nice time catching up with her and her family afterward and then we took the stuff to her house and spent the evening chatting and catching up. Although, we live about 4o minutes away from one another, with life and work schedules aside from our weekly [at least] phone calls, we don’t get a lot of time together. It was so nice to have that time together, talking about life, love, and all that lovely stuff. I’m so excited to be apart of her journey as a mom.
If we were really having coffee, I would tell you that we had my dad’s dogs for a week, which was something I would do any day but a week was plenty! I have a 3 piece painting for Cooper Lee (Jamie’s son to be born soon!!)’s nursery of space and rockets! I have lots of work to do for my dad to complete and I have been squeezing in time for the Pay it Forward stuff and the Craft Swop. This weekend is the wedding that I’m in. I’m hoping it doesn’t rain since Jess, the bride, is really wanting this thing to be outside. So, I hope that it is. Friday is nails, decorating and then rehearsal dinner. Then Saturday is hair in the morning, then it’s wedding time @ 4! Wahooo! I will make this note: I’m so.glad. I’m done with the whole wedding process. Phew! No thanks!
If we were really having coffee, I would tell you that I am in fact ready for life to slow down a little bit, spend a little more time with Ryan and just breathe. I would also tell you, that this weekend while spending time with Jamie, we had a serious, deep, real chat about me & something weighing on my heart lately and one of these days, I’ll fill you in on that, and what you need to know first for it all to make sense!
Please, tell me how things have been for you. I would love to hear what you would tell me at coffee! 🙂
Thank you for coffee. I know what you mean by time with a good friend. I have the same thing with a friend from high school. We’ve been friends for 20 years, and we can read each other’s minds, almost! So glad you got time with your friend!
Ah! Love love love your red hair!!! Perfect!
You make a beautiful redhead. Kristina! That’s the first thing I’d tell you over coffee. The next thing I’d say is that you are wise to slow things down and not regard blogging as a daily obligation. Remember that family comes first.
Hi 🙂
If we were really having coffee and you were really asking me what was happening in my small corner of the world, I’d tell you that everything is fine – even if the tempo of my life’s pace has been seriously ramped up: LOL
I’d tell you that we are excitedly counting down the days until hubby never has to punch the time clock again … unless there’s a “honey-do list” and he needs to crunch time to get it all done before the month ends 😀
I’d tell you that I enjoy visiting with my daughter and granddaughter when they come over; but that time spent with them was easier when they were both younger because the issues weren’t so dire and talking to them was easier when they were smaller. There are some things they share with me that frankly I really don’t need – or want – to know. MPO Does that make me a bad mother and a bad grandmother? I don’t think so.
I’d tell you that we are looking forward to moving in the near future, and I hope that near future dove-tails with hubby’s retirement; I’d really like to be kickin’ back in the deep countryside where the night sky is filled with the Milky Way instead of florescent street light glare, and the sounds we hear are the competing deep throated croaking of the frogs and the high shrilling chirps of the crickets. I am taking my chickens with me, and hope to have cute little black-faced sheep nipping at the grass on the hillsides. I am sooo there that I’m literally chomping at the bit here to hoof it to splitsville. LOL!
Oh yeah! I’d also tell you that I got my car back and I hope to mail your PIF Gift to you Thursday; that’s the plan anyway …
This is what I’d say if we were having coffee for real today. Ready for me to go home now?
Hahahaha

Hi! I’m dropping by from the UBP. I’ve really enjoyed visiting your lovely blog…I love the pics of your and your hubby and your pets…and I think it’s fascinating that you’re a massage therapist and a wellness coach! Hope you’ll stop by my blog and say hello!

Just trying to figure out where everything goes and what has to go to storage. I’m getting tired of that now but we’ve still got a room full of crap to go through. Loved your comment on the TV in your house. haha. Hugs.
Love your long distance story of how you met your husband. My husband and I dated LD as well. Fun times. Now following you from the UBP. http://tvstake.blogspot.com
Great to have coffee with you. Sounds like life is busy. The great thing about blogging is you can come and go, take breaks or not. Take care of yourself!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I’ve always wondered how baristas made pretty designs in the coffee foam like in the photo you posted. 🙂 I wonder this, but I would never want to become a barista just to learn how.
I would also tell you that I think you look so pretty as a redhead (love your new profile photo), but really, you can sport purple hair and still be cute.
And finally, I would tell you that this whole blogging thing? Never become a slave to it or lose sight of why you started blogging to begin with. I think that for those of us who work, it’s a little more difficult to find the time to blog or to read/comment on others’ blogs thereby keeping it interactive (and fair), but there is nothing worse than feeling obligated to post or to visit other blogs if your heart isn’t in it. We all need breaks sometimes and that’s totally ok. When you have readers who enjoy your blog, it’s nice to know when they’re taking some time out to spend it with family or whatever (as opposed to them just going MIA and then deleting their blog entirely). YOU come first. Take care of YOU. And then when you’re feeling it, come back to your blog and say hello to us. We’ll be here to read/hear what you have to say. 🙂
Thanks for the coffee. Let’s do this again, shall we? 🙂
xo.
Cute idea! Make it a feature?
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I hate my job and how I know it is that my first day off I was the happiest I’d been in a while. I’d tell you that sending packages to people is better than receiving them and that the village post office is quaint. The guy who works behind the counter is a very nice soul who bought poppy seeds from me at work. Small place.
I’d tell you I miss large places, wide open places, and Sonic.
I’d tell you that you’ve found your color and that you’ve lost weight, because that’s how us Southern gals compliment each other.
Thanks friend.
It’s good having friends like that. I know I suck at giving advise because I haven’t really dealt with much and plus I am not all thy smart in saying good things!:) but this is how I feel about you, you always know what to say but talking on the phone isn’t something we do maybe it’s because we see each other more but I dont know. I love you and that’s all that I care about. I can’t wait to see how beautiful you are this weekend!
Oh my goodness, I loved this post, such a cool idea to do virtual coffee. You pretty much stated how I am feeling-work overload and not enough time to do anything. Hopefully things will slow down a bit for both of us.
BTW your new red hair color is so chic. LOVE it.
