Cowgirl is an attitude, really. A pioneer spirit, a special American brand of courage. The cowgirl faces life head on, lives by her own lights, and makes no excuses. Cowgirls take a stand. They speak up. They defend the things they hold dear. A Cowgirl might be a rancher, or a barrel racer, or a bull rider, or an actress, but she’s just as likely to be a checker at a local grocery store, a full-time mother, a banker or an attorney.

Hi Kristina! Thanks so much for you comment on my blog, really made my week ๐
ps: cowgirls are kind of really cool
I remember the Roy Rodger, Dale Evans, and Tonto series; LOL – that’s shows my age!
I’ve always been a cowgirl at heart – and I grew up to marry my cowboy; now we’re heading into the wild blue yonder in the near future: pulling up stakes and driving fence posts further along … YEHAW!!
Hahaha. Thanks for posting.

Dale was the original Riot Grrl.
Yes, I remember Dale Evans very well – a real cowgirl! So I’m showing my age as well. Great quote though.

Great quote. I love that picture too. So, I’m probably not a cowgirl, but I’d like to be. ๐ Janae
